Product Description

Daruma Cat Series

The design is ingenious: the left hand holds aloft a gold coin, symbolizing luck and fortune; the right hand holds a Bodhidharma doll, representing perseverance and courage, signifying overcoming difficulties and achieving one's wishes. 💰🐾

The cat's sitting posture gives it a composed yet adorable appearance.

The cat has a smiling face, big, round eyes that convey a friendly and joyful expression, and exquisite patterns and color combinations on its body, which add to its visual appeal and artistic feel.

Kiyomizu ware is a traditional ceramic craft from the Kyoto region of Japan, renowned for its exquisite designs and glazes.

The lucky cat is made using the Kiyomizu-doji firing technique, and its surface has a unique "flower crystal" glaze ✨. This glaze forms an effect resembling flowers 🌸 or crystal patterns during the firing process.

It gives people a warm and elegant feeling.

The cat design incorporates elements of "Daruma" 🎎. Daruma is a traditional Japanese wishing doll, usually appearing in the shape of a roly-poly toy.

Symbolizing perseverance and the achievement of goals, this lucky cat holds a purplish-red Daruma doll in its left paw, with the character "福" (fortune) on it, signifying bringing good fortune and luck 🍀.

This design, which combines the lucky cat and the Daruma doll, is very special. It has the lucky cat's function of bringing good fortune and the Daruma doll's meaning of praying and protecting.

The yellow sign held up by the cat's left paw reads "千千万両" (Senman Ryō), meaning "ten million taels" 💰.

The "ryo" here refers to a unit of currency from Japan's Edo period, symbolizing immense wealth. "Millions of ryo" signifies attracting enormous wealth.

It is very suitable for praying for good fortune and prosperous business.

The cat design is very cute 😻, with purplish-red inside the ears, adding a touch of gentleness.

The golden bell 🔔 around its neck and the purple-red collar are classic elements of the lucky cat, symbolizing good luck and protection 🛡️.

Cherry blossom pattern: Adorned with a pink cherry blossom 🌸, cherry blossoms symbolize beauty and happiness in Japanese culture, which complements the meaning of the lucky cat.

Gentle expression: Its expression is gentle, with large and bright eyes, giving people a feeling of kindness and happiness 😊.

The smooth glaze has a natural sheen, making the overall appearance more textured. The Kiyomizu-yaki lucky cat is not only a home decoration but also an elegant work of art, demonstrating exquisite craftsmanship and cultural connotations.

It is part of Kyo-yaki, and the development of this pottery is closely linked to the tea ceremony, having been widely practiced in the Higashiyama foothills since the early Edo period.

Kiyomizu ware holds an important place in Japanese ceramics due to its unique craftsmanship and beautiful appearance, and continues to attract collectors and enthusiasts from all over the world.
