"Kutani ware" is a representative of Japanese painted ceramics, originating from Minamikaga in southern Ishikawa Prefecture, and is widely recognized as the pinnacle of painted ceramics.

Even the manufacturing process is explained to the selection party. The name Kutani ware comes from Kutani Village, Enuma District, Kaga Province.

It is said that it was originally made deep in the Yamanaka Onsen (hot springs) in Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture. It uses a Japanese -style brocade known as Kutani Gosai ( green, yellow, red, purple, and indigo ).

Hard pigments are used for "top painting," and their bright and vivid colors are their defining characteristic.
